Initial tourism occupancy data in Córdoba, coinciding with the start of the Patios Festival, has caused some concern within the sector. Although tourist accommodations have most of their rooms booked, with an average close to 80%, they are not reaching the full capacity levels expected for this time of year.
Industry sources have expressed their worry, noting that 80% occupancy in high season is insufficient, especially after a challenging start to the year. Adverse weather conditions and the consequences of a recent train accident, which disrupted connections between Madrid and Andalucía, have negatively impacted visitor flow.

Furthermore, it has been highlighted that the festival's promotion could be more effective, as many tourists arrive unaware of the celebration. The sector aims to attract visitors who stay overnight, contributing more to the local economy, unlike day-trippers who do not significantly boost local spending.
The situation varies among different establishments. While some hotels, such as Hospes Palacio del Bailío or Maciá Alfaros, report over 90% occupancy, others, like Soho Boutique or NH Collection Palacio Córdoba, remain around 70-77% for the weekend. The profile of overnight tourists is predominantly foreign, coming from countries such as Italy, Germany, Holland, or France.
