By 2:00 PM, a total of 3,440 voters, representing 16.5% of the 20,166 eligible individuals, had already cast their ballots. This process, which is being conducted entirely electronically for the first time, has been marked by a large turnout from all sectors of the university community.
By category, participation has been particularly high among tenured professors (A1), with 64.87% of their census, and administrative and service staff (PTGAS), who reached 72.96%. Other sectors, such as contract professors with doctorates (A2) and non-doctorate professors (B1), also showed considerable percentages, at 54.55% and 43.65% respectively.
Regarding students, undergraduate students (D1) registered a participation of 12.75%, while master's and doctoral students (D2) reached 3.44%. These figures reflect a widespread commitment to the electoral process.
The voter turnout on this day is comparable to that of the 2022 elections, which featured two candidacies, and significantly surpasses that recorded in 2018, when there was only one candidacy. Despite having a single candidacy this time, participation has exceeded 2018 levels in all sectors, approaching 2022 levels for students.
