The alert was received by the 112 Emergency service shortly before 13:30. The fire was located in an area bordering the municipalities of Cordoba and Fernan Nunez.
Firefighters from the Service for the Protection and Extinction of Fires and Rescue of the provincial capital were deployed to the scene. Extinguishing efforts continued throughout the afternoon, with support from Infoca teams to control the flames on this route connecting the capital with Malaga.
