The city of Córdoba is gearing up for a new edition of the Guitar Festival, launching this Wednesday, July 1st, with prominent artists like Paco Peña and the band Love of Lesbian.

Music fills Córdoba with the official start of the Guitar Festival, set to run throughout July. Following a prologue featuring Vicente Amigo, the event presents an eclectic lineup promising to satisfy all music lovers, spanning genres such as flamenco, jazz, pop, rock, and singer-songwriter.
The opening day, this Wednesday, July 1st, will feature Cordoban guitarist Paco Peña, the festival's founder, at 8:30 PM in the Gran Teatro. He will present his show 'Solera', a critically acclaimed production dedicated to the memory of his sister Rosario.
On the same day, the Teatro de la Axerquía will host the concert by Love of Lesbian. The Catalan band will present their tenth studio album, 'Ejército de Salvación', as part of a tour marking a transition towards a more relaxed phase for the group.
The program will continue with notable performances at the Gran Teatro, including Teddy Bautista on the 3rd with 'El periplo de las heroínas', and flamenco guitarist José Antonio Rodríguez on Saturday, July 4th, who will perform in a quintet format.
Jazz will have its space on Sunday, July 5th, with guitarist Stanley Clarke and his group N.4Ever. This will be followed by American experimental bassist and musician MonoNeon on the 6th. On July 8th, the Orquesta de Córdoba will perform with classical guitarist Juan Manuel Cañizares as soloist, interpreting a version of 'Noches en los jardines de España'.
The festival will bid farewell to the Gran Teatro on July 11th with a flamenco dance performance in tribute to Blanca del Rey, featuring artists such as Olga Pericet.
The Teatro de la Axerquía will host other anticipated concerts, such as those by Los Aslándticos and Sanguijuelas del Guadiana on July 2nd, followed by Los Planetas on the 3rd. Hard rock will take the stage on July 4th with Spanish bands Warcry and Ángelus Apátrida.
On Sunday, July 5th, the band Siloé will give a concert with all tickets sold out. On July 8th, Luz Casal will perform, with opening acts Nat Simons and Aurora Beltrán. Classic Spanish rock and roll will arrive on July 9th with Loquillo.
Flamenco will be honored with a tribute to the genius of Paco de Lucía on July 10th with 'Paco de Lucía Legacy', featuring Josemi Carmona and Chano Domínguez. The festival's closing on July 11th will mark the thirtieth anniversary of 'Omega', the iconic album by Enrique Morente and Lagartija Nick, with Kiki Morente and Israel Galván.
The Teatro Góngora will host the 'Classics' cycle with performances by Manuel Barrueco (4th), María Esther Guzmán (July 5th), Rycardo Moreno (6th), Juanfe Pérez (July 7th), Cardamom Trío & Linda Alahmad (8th), David Russell (July 9th), and the duo Leo & Leo (July 10th).
