The 'blanquiverde' entity continues to shape its squad for the upcoming campaign, adding Jacobo Martí to previous signings Dani Tasende, Adnane Ghailan, Egoitz Muñoz, and Unai Sabroso, as well as the renewal of captain Carlos Albarrán. The new signing aligns with the club's sought-after profile: a young player with growth potential, an affordable contract, coming from Primera RFEF, and with resale value.
Following its usual summer strategy, the club has not pursued established names but rather future prospects that have yielded benefits in recent seasons. Jacobo Martí, originally from Valencia and 21 years old, is a right-back with an offensive mindset, capable of playing as a wing-back or winger – a versatile profile that fits the sporting director's working approach.
His progression has been remarkable. After training at Levante and playing for Torrent CF in Segunda RFEF, he moved to AD Mérida this season, where he secured a place in the starting lineup of Primera RFEF despite his youth. He now takes another step towards professional football with Córdoba CF, a club that has become a notable stepping stone for young talent from lower divisions.
Martí's arrival was not a surprise, as the deal had been agreed upon weeks ago. Córdoba CF has once again looked to Primera RFEF as a source of talent, following the same path that brought players like Adnane Ghailan (from CE Europa), Unai Sabroso (from Rayo Vallecano 'B'), and Egoitz Muñoz (from Alavés 'B').
From a sporting perspective, this signing adds competition, future prospects, and some unknowns to the right-back position. The club already has the experience of Albarrán and the addition of Egoitz Muñoz from Alavés's reserve team. With Martí's arrival, they aim for a player destined to grow, combining the present and future potential in the squad managed by Iván Ania for the 2026-27 season.
