The march, which started at the Torre de la Calahorra, passed through iconic locations in the Historic Center such as the Puerta del Puente and Doctor Fleming street. The mobilization served as a platform to denounce job insecurity, staff burnout, and the lack of generational renewal in public medicine.
Participants emphasized that the current situation not only compromises the well-being of professionals but also directly affects the safety and quality of care received by patients. The protest is part of a series of national mobilizations aimed at pressuring administrations to open effective negotiations.
“"Public healthcare cannot be sustained on the exhaustion of its professionals. Without doctors, there is no future."
This protest action coincides with a period of intermittent strikes that the medical collective has been maintaining since last February. According to the scheduled calendar, these strike days, which affect both Primary Care and hospital services, will continue until next June.
