This new phase of the project, which began in 2022, brings the total number of chapters to 21. The initiative aims to give voice and prominence to women in rural areas, sharing their experiences and testimonies.
The new episodes feature stories from women in Belalcázar, Bujalance, Villaviciosa de Córdoba, and Iznájar, adding to the 17 chapters previously released. The content is available on the Diputación de Córdoba's YouTube channel and will be premiered progressively.
“"The Belalcázar episode is already available on the Diputación de Córdoba's YouTube channel, while the remaining three will premiere on the last Friday of each month. Additionally, short audiovisual pieces will be created for dissemination on the institution's various social media networks."
To date, the series has garnered over 35,100 views on YouTube and is also broadcast on local television stations in the province, thereby expanding its reach. The project has an investment exceeding 21,500 euros and is produced by Matilde Cabello and Lola Ruiz.
Crónicas Violeta has become a fundamental tool for meeting, learning, and empowering rural women. It promotes spaces for participation and personal expression, and contributes to preserving the collective memory of women as witnesses of social and economic change, creating a living archive of experiences for future generations.
