The Cordoban club has decided to keep Diego Tristán as the reserve team's coach for the upcoming season in Liga Hypermotion. Tristán, a former player for Cádiz CF, took over the Córdoba B bench with five matchdays remaining and successfully secured the team's permanence in the fifth tier of national football.
The coach from Seville took charge after Gaspar Gálvez was dismissed, when the team was in a precarious situation. Under his guidance, the reserve team remained undefeated, securing four victories and one draw in the final five games. This positive streak allowed the team to climb to a comfortable ninth position in Group X of Tercera Federación.
Tristán, who had been part of the club's technical structure since last October as a specialized striker coach, took a step forward by assuming team management. His debut ended with an away win against Ceuta B, a match in which his own son, Diego, also made his debut.
The club's sporting committee has opted for continuity with Tristán at the helm, who will now face the task of remodeling the squad for the next campaign. Several reserve team players have been training with the first team under Iván Ania, suggesting a potential integration of young talent into the second team.
