The exhibition, which delves into the Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium of Oviedo, two millennia-old cloths of significant scientific, artistic, and historical interest, now hosts this notable work. The exhibition features the research by the Sevillian professor and sculptor Juan Manuel Miñarro, creator of the Cordoban image.
The addition of the Resurrected Christ marks a culminating point in the exhibition's final section, inviting viewers to reflect. The piece, blessed on May 15, 1988, and venerated in the parish of Santa Marina, will be on display until August 31.
“"It is an honor for our corporation to contribute to this important cultural and religious event."
The Brotherhood of the Resurrected Christ has temporarily loaned the sculpture to the Cathedral Chapter of Córdoba, ensuring its conservation, security, and respect. The exhibition also includes other works by Miñarro, such as the Crucified Christ of Cabra and the Sindonic Entombment, and is complemented by a visit to the Church of the Oath of San Rafael.
Public response to the exhibition, promoted by the Fundación Aguilar y Eslava, has been very positive. This traveling exhibition, celebrating its 25th anniversary, updates multidisciplinary knowledge on the enigmatic cloths and includes facsimile reproductions, comparative studies, and the Arma Christi.
