After a brief respite, temperatures in Cordoba are set to soar again. The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has announced the activation of a yellow alert for intense heat this Sunday, June 28, in the capital and the Alto and Valle del Guadalquivir regions.
While Friday, June 26, is forecast to reach a high of 36 degrees and Saturday 37, temperatures are expected to climb to 39 degrees on Sunday, between 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.
Aemet's forecasts suggest the alert could be upgraded to orange next week, anticipating highs that will exceed 40 degrees through Wednesday. Monday is expected to reach 40 degrees, Tuesday 41, and on Wednesday, July 1, the temperature could hit 42 degrees.
High temperatures are making a strong comeback in Cordoba.
