The organization of this important gathering will be undertaken by the Community of Irrigators of the Genil Cabra Irrigated Zone, which will also celebrate its 50th anniversary. The announcement was made during the closing ceremony of the XVI National Congress of Irrigation Communities, held in Ciudad Real.
“"It is an important responsibility, but we have the support of a great team to face the challenge."
The Genil Cabra Irrigated Zone, considered the second most important in Andalusia, covers approximately 24,000 hectares with irrigation pending formalization, aiming to reach 31,000 hectares according to the current hydrological plan. This area benefits around 2,200 farmers from Cordovan municipalities such as Puente Genil, Aguilar de la Frontera, Santaella, Montalbán, La Rambla, and Montilla, as well as Sevillian towns like Écija and Estepa.
The congress will be held under the direction of the National Federation of Irrigation Communities (Fenacore) and will feature the participation of various authorities and experts in agriculture and water management.
