The province of Córdoba as a whole has experienced high temperatures, exceeding the 40-degree mark in various locations. The provincial maximum was recorded at the Montoro observatory, with 42.7 ºC.
Other towns such as La Rambla reached 41.9 ºC, Fuente Palmera 41.7 ºC, and Espiel 40.8 ºC.
Due to these conditions, Aemet issued an orange alert for Wednesday, July 1, warning of maximum temperatures of 41 degrees in the Campiña cordobesa region during the central hours of the day. Similarly, an orange alert was in place for Sierra y Pedroches due to highs of 40 degrees. In the Subbética region, a yellow alert was issued, forecasting temperatures up to 39 degrees.
