The city of Córdoba will transform from June 3 to 7 to celebrate a new edition of 'Kalendas en Cordvba', an event that brings the memory of ancient Corduba to life through cultural activities.

The program, organized by the Delegation for the Historic Center of the City Council of Córdoba, will offer an immersive journey into the Roman era through guided tours, theatrical performances, participatory experiences, educational activities, concerts, and historical reenactments. All activities are free but require mandatory prior registration.
The opening day, Wednesday, June 3, will feature a treasure hunt titled 'The Capital of Roman Baetica', designed to dynamically explore the importance of Córdoba in Roman Hispania. On the same day, two guided tours will be held: 'Roman Funeral Ritual' and 'From the Republic to the Decline of the Empire'.
Thursday, June 4, will focus on the consolidation of Christianity with the theatrical visit 'Bishop Osio and the Consolidation of Christianity'. Additionally, a tour will be offered along the Vía Augusta, the cardo, the decumanus, and the Roman Bridge, along with the educational visit 'The Anneus Family', about one of the most influential lineages of Roman Córdoba.
Friday, June 5, will focus on historical figures linked to the city. The program includes the theatrical visit 'The Anneus Lineage' and the guided tour 'Mosaics in Córdoba, Mythology and Geometry'. The participatory experience 'Monte Testaccio of Wines and Oils that Reached Ostia' will also be presented, connecting Roman culture with Mediterranean trade and food.
Saturday, June 6, will host a variety of activities, including the educational visit 'The Foundation of Corduba, its Destruction and Resurgence', the participatory experience 'Children's Games in Roman Times', and a new treasure hunt. Also featured are the guided tour 'From Lucius Annaeus Seneca to Lucan', the theatrical 'Women Who Excelled in the Patricia Colony of Córdoba', and a concert by the Grupo Tintinnambulum.
The event will conclude on Sunday, June 7, with activities geared towards families and heritage. Highlights include the children's theatrical visit 'Claudius Marcellus and the Foundation of Corduba', the historical reenactment 'The Three Deaths of Seneca', the theatrical visit 'Funerary Corduba', and the guided tour 'The Five Important Axes of Interest of the Roman Villa'.
'Kalendas en Córdoba' is part of the municipal project 'The Four Cultures of Córdoba', which promotes the Roman, Christian, Jewish, and Islamic legacy of the city. The objective of this event is to highlight Roman heritage, culture, and society, a key historical period presented in an accessible and engaging way for all audiences.
