Individually and collectively, we have expressed this through written communications to the Ministry of Health and the SAS, which respond with 'good words' but no concrete actions. We understand that Primary Care is key for true comprehensive health for individuals, and also for an orderly and rational functioning of healthcare in health centers and hospitals.

Neighborhood associations in Córdoba have called for weekly protests at the Lucano Health Center, starting April 13, to denounce the precarious state of Primary Care and staff shortages at the facility.
The neighborhood associations Alcázar Viejo, Axerquía, La Medina, and Regina Magdalena, which fall within the influence area of the Lucano Health Center, have expressed deep concern and dissatisfaction. This situation, they indicate, is similar to that of other centers in Córdoba and throughout Andalucía.
In a statement, residents highlighted their apprehension regarding both the difficulties users face in obtaining a medical appointment within a reasonable timeframe and the working conditions of professionals due to the scarcity of permanently assigned staff.
The organizers of these mobilizations advocate for public healthcare as a guarantor of the universal and constitutional right to health. They emphasize that Primary Care is fundamental for the well-being of the population.
The campaign aims to achieve medical appointments within a maximum of three days, compared to the current waiting times of approximately 20 days. Additionally, they demand the permanent staffing of the nine doctor positions outlined in the center's organizational chart, which currently rarely exceed five available, and the expansion of other healthcare and administrative staff.
