A recent study, jointly conducted by the Public University of Navarre, the University of Zaragoza, and the Mapfre Foundation, has revealed that Córdoba has accumulated 31 fatalities in occupational accidents within the agricultural sector between 2010 and 2023. This figure positions the province of Córdoba in a mid-ranking national position, occupying seventeenth place, tied with provinces such as Burgos and Jaén.
The report, which analyzes the incidence of fatal accidents in the agricultural sector, demonstrates that the majority of these incidents are concentrated in the northwestern region of the Iberian Peninsula. La Coruña leads this statistic with 92 fatalities in the analyzed period, followed by Lugo (73) and Pontevedra (72). Other provinces with high accident rates include Murcia and Valencia, both with 69 victims.
