These initiatives, presented by the Area's head, Auxiliadora Moreno, seek to integrate equality education into the daily lives of all individuals, adapting content for different ages and educational stages. The programs are named ‘Modo igualdad’ (Equality Mode), ‘Cuidarse: bienestar emocional en igualdad’ (Taking Care: Emotional Well-being in Equality), and ‘La trata para explotación sexual de seres humanos’ (Human Trafficking for Sexual Exploitation).
The ‘Modo igualdad’ program focuses on co-responsibility, good treatment, and egalitarian relationships, promoting values such as respect and consent from childhood. It includes interactive storytelling sessions in municipal public libraries, workshops in early childhood education centers on co-responsibility in daily tasks, and workshops for Primary and Secondary students to foster healthy and respectful relationships and prevent abuse, some using methodologies like escape rooms. Additionally, two online workshops will be offered for teachers and families.
‘Cuidarse: bienestar emocional en igualdad’, promoted in collaboration with the Mojo de Caña Association, will address emotional health and healthy relationships, providing students with tools for personal and social development. This program will reach over 1,700 students in 70 Primary and Secondary educational centers.
The third initiative, ‘La trata para explotación sexual de seres humanos’, consists of 15 awareness-raising workshops for Secondary Education students. Its purpose is to inform about this serious human rights violation, its causes, consequences, and the importance of prevention.
In total, these programs are expected to reach 4,150 people, including 145 educational centers, 16 libraries, and 100 education professionals and AFA members, aiming to involve the entire educational community in promoting equality.
