The subsidy program, unveiled by Antonio Martín, the Sports Delegate, is structured into three main lines. Martín emphasized that these initiatives not only promote physical activity and health but also serve as an economic driver and a tool for tourist promotion in Córdoba's municipalities.
The most substantial allocation, totaling 450,000 euros, is directed towards clubs, federations, and adapted sports. This amount represents an increase from previous calls and is intended for organizations based in Córdoba's municipalities, excluding the capital. Andalusian federations organizing events and circuits in the province will also benefit. Within this category, 25,000 euros have been specifically earmarked for promoting adapted sports.
“"These calls not only contribute to physical well-being and health but have also become an economic engine and a resource for the tourist promotion of our municipalities."
Additionally, individual athlete support continues through the Sportius Virtute program, funded with 70,000 euros. This initiative aims to recognize the achievements of high-level Córdoba athletes in national and international competitions during the previous season. Martín noted that the amount has been increased to accommodate the growing number of individual merits.
Finally, the Medallero program, with a budget of 100,000 euros, focuses on grassroots sports. Its objective is to cover participation and travel costs for clubs and sports sections with school-age athletes competing in championships across Andalusia and Spain. The application process will commence once the official guidelines are published in the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP), allowing applicants between 10 and 20 working days to submit their documentation.
