The program for the 45th Córdoba Guitar Festival, organized by the Municipal Institute of Performing Arts of Córdoba (IMAE), features a diversity of musical styles this Saturday. Guitarist José Antonio Rodríguez Quinteto will perform at the Gran Teatro at 8:30 PM, offering a vision of contemporary flamenco. Later, at 10:00 PM in the Teatro de la Axerquía, Warcry and Angelus Apatrida, two leading national rock and metal acts, will take the stage.
José Antonio Rodríguez Quinteto will present a program at the Gran Teatro based on their own compositions such as Guadalcázar, Athena, and Conexión Manhattan. The quintet's proposal, which includes singing, guitar, new instrumentation, and dance, aims to explore flamenco guitar from a modern and technically profound perspective. He will be accompanied by Diego Villegas (flute, sax, and harmonica), Sergio Di Finizio (bass), Patricio Cámara Pachi (percussion and vocals), and Sabrina Romero (percussion, vocals, and dance).
Meanwhile, the Teatro de la Axerquía will host the night dedicated to rock and metal. Warcry, a well-established band in Spanish melodic heavy metal with over two decades of trajectory, will share the bill with Angelus Apatrida, a band from Albacete recognized for its internationally projected thrash metal. Both bands promise an energetic performance with the electric guitar as the protagonist.
Additionally, for the first time in this edition, the Bulevar del Gran Capitán will feature a stage offering free-entry children's programming.
