From 1982 to 2022, a span of 40 years of Andalusian regional elections, the electoral map of the province of Cordoba has shown a significant transformation. What was once a clear trend towards the PSOE, with the socialist party usually being the most voted, has been reversed in the most recent elections, where the PP has emerged as the dominant force.
This change raises questions about the consolidation of the rightward shift in the region, the uniformity of this trend across all Andalusian provinces, and the specific urban areas where socialists have lost the most support. Furthermore, the growth of alternative left-wing parties in this context is examined.
