The State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) has issued orange alerts for areas such as the Campiña cordobesa, the Sierra, and Los Pedroches. Meanwhile, the Subbética region is under a yellow alert due to a heat episode expected to be particularly demanding.
Forecasts suggest that temperatures could reach 43 degrees in the capital on Monday, with mostly clear skies. During the afternoon, cloud cover is expected to increase in the north of the province, with a possibility of occasional storms. Nights will offer little relief, with temperatures remaining high even after sunset.
The peak of this thermal episode is expected on Wednesday, when highs could climb to 44 degrees. From Thursday onwards, a gradual decrease in temperatures is anticipated, reaching around 40 degrees, followed by a more significant drop towards the end of the week.
It is recommended to take extreme precautions, avoid direct sun exposure during peak hours, and maintain constant hydration given the predicted ultraviolet index of 10.
