Although the final figure will be known on June 30, when the application period closes, authorities expect around 4,000 people to achieve regularization. An additional 1,000 individuals whose rootedness applications were submitted before April 15 of this year could also be included.
The Government Subdelegation in Córdoba has indicated that procedures will be expedited for those with ongoing rootedness applications, facilitating their access to the extraordinary regularization process, provided they meet the established requirements.
On the first day of in-person service, nearly 200 people were attended to at Correos offices and the National Social Security Institute (INSS) headquarters in Córdoba city. Despite the slower-than-expected pace of appointments, online applications have boosted the total number of procedures, with 113 transactions completed since the process opened on April 16.
“"Appointments are working perfectly, and there is no rush of people as was rumored."
Authorities attribute the lower in-person attendance to the complexity of the required documentation, which applicants must gather before visiting the offices. The Citizen Participation Office of the Córdoba City Council has reported a high volume of people submitting their documents.
INSS offices will attend to migrants in the afternoons, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, while the five Correos offices in Córdoba city will collect documentation from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. Each appointment is estimated to last 20 minutes, although at Correos, they are currently scheduled every 40 minutes.
