The white-and-green squad is enjoying a strong run in the final phase of the season, having achieved their third consecutive win against Cultural Leonesa. This triumph allows the team to keep their promotion aspirations alive, although the gap to the play-off spots remains nine points with 18 still to play for.
Despite the challenge of reaching the play-offs, securing a spot in the Second Division for next season appears almost certain. Zaragoza's draw against Ceuta has extended the difference to sixteen points from the last relegation spot, allowing Córdoba to breathe easily and potentially mathematically confirm their stay in the category next Sunday.
“"His pupils were already capable of achieving six victories in seven matches, so now they will try to remain immaculate."
The remaining schedule features six challenging matches, four of which will be played at El Arcángel, their home stadium. The first commitment will be this Sunday, April 26, against Sporting, a direct rival in the middle of the table. Subsequently, on May 2, the team will visit Castellón, who are deeply involved in the direct promotion battle.
The following home games will be against Granada and Albacete, teams currently in an intermediate position. Finally, Córdoba will travel to Ipurua to face Eibar, considered the best home team in the category, and will conclude the season at El Arcángel against Huesca, in a match that could be decisive for the latter's survival.
