After a two-month period without tasting victory on their home turf, Córdoba Club de Fútbol triumphed at home this Saturday. Since February 14, Valentine's Day, the squad led by Iván Ania had only managed to secure one point at home, a performance that had caused considerable concern among the 'Blanquiverde' supporters.
The poor run of form was evident not only in home matches, where they suffered defeats against teams like Andorra, Real Sociedad B, and CD Mirandés, but also in their away games. The team experienced losses during their visits to Almería, Ceuta, Racing de Santander, Burgos, and Deportivo de La Coruña, which had placed the club in a precarious situation.
However, the recent match against Real Zaragoza marked a turning point. This victory, combined with the one achieved last week in Cádiz, represents two consecutive wins that allow Córdoba CF to virtually secure their survival. Although their permanence was never truly in serious jeopardy, the negative streak had created uncertainty about a potential historic collapse of results, as the club had never before lost more than six consecutive matches in the silver category.
