The City Council of Córdoba, through its Delegation of Festivals and Traditions, has taken a crucial step in organizing the celebrations that bid farewell to summer in the Cordoba capital. The provisional list of entities applying for subsidies for the 2026 Popular Fairs has been made public, along with those that have been excluded.
This document represents the first concrete progress in establishing the calendar of festive events that traditionally mark the end of the summer season and the beginning of autumn in the city's various neighborhoods. It offers a detailed overview of the scheduled gatherings for the coming months.
Celebrations with provisional approval will commence in mid-August. The Club Figueroa has scheduled its fair from August 14th to 16th in the Plaza de la Marina Española. Subsequently, the Club de Matrimonios La Unión will hold its event from August 20th to 23rd at its headquarters on Calle Bilbao.
In September, the Asociación Incienso y Compás will continue the program from September 3rd to 5th in the gardens located between Calle Carril de los Toros and Vereda de Trassierra. Mid-month, the Hermandad del Rocío de Córdoba will be set up in the gardens of Virgen del Rocío from September 10th to 12th. Coinciding with these dates, the Asociación Músico Cultural Sagrada Columna will hold its fair in the Santa Cruz neighborhood from September 11th to 13th.
