Under the slogan 'Cordoba always proud,' the City Council, in collaboration with the Diversity Table, has unveiled a program of events for June. The goal is to reaffirm institutional commitment to human rights, equality, and the visibility of affective, sexual, and gender diversity.
The Councilor for Equality, Marián Aguilar, emphasized that these actions aim to embed values in public policy that promote a more inclusive, respectful, and discrimination-free society, combating hate speech and social exclusion towards LGTBI individuals.
The program includes educational workshops in institutes such as Puente de Alcolea and Fidiana, as well as film screenings with subsequent forums in civic centers like Norte, Poniente Sur, Fuensanta, and Alcolea.

Belén Lovera, representative of the IEMAKAIE association and member of the Diversity Table, detailed the activities scheduled for the weekend of June 12-14. On June 12, there will be an opening speech and recreational activities at the Kiosco de la Música. On Saturday the 13th, a 5-kilometer Diversity Race open to the public will take place.
The LGTBIQ+ March will depart at 8:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, from the Palacio de la Merced, headquarters of the Provincial Council of Cordoba. The celebrations will conclude at Vial Norte with the reading of the 'Cordoba Orgullosa' manifesto and activities to commemorate the day.
“"It is a firm commitment to continue advancing so that Cordoba becomes a safe space for LGTBIQ+ individuals."
Lovera also highlighted the importance of preventing LGTBI-phobia in all its forms, acknowledging the existence of both visible and invisible forms of violence.
