Córdoba's LGTBIQ+ Pride March will take place this Saturday, June 13. The city has chosen to advance its parade to give it a distinct identity and avoid clashes with other regional events. This initiative, spanning five kilometers, is a joint effort between the Córdoba City Council and the Mesa de la Diversidad de Córdoba (Diversity Table of Córdoba), as part of the municipal program 'Córdoba always proud,' which focuses on equality and the rights of the LGTBIQ+ community.
The march will commence at 8:00 PM at the Palacio de la Merced, the seat of the Provincial Council. The planned route includes stops at emblematic locations such as Cristo de los Faroles, Calle Cruz Conde, Plaza de las Tendillas, Puerta de Gallegos, Ronda de los Tejares, and Avenida del Gran Capitán, concluding at Avenida de América.
The procession will culminate at the Vial Norte, where a manifesto will be read. Participants will be accompanied by a batucada throughout the route, adding rhythm and energy to the event.
Following the manifesto reading, starting at 10:00 PM, the Vial Norte will host various performances. Artists such as Er Kalifato and Margarita Kalifata are confirmed to perform. The night will conclude with a DJ set in the same location.
Beyond the main march, the City Council has organized a complementary agenda under the theme 'Love is love.' This includes workshops, film cycles, and exhibitions throughout June, expanding the activities surrounding Pride. In the educational sphere, the 'Building Diversity: Respect, Rights, and Equality' cycle involves eleven secondary education institutes in the city. New additions this year include a 5 km popular race and a hiking excursion to Monachil, in Granada.
