The plan, presented this Wednesday, aims to keep the city in pristine condition during weeks of high tourist influx and street activity. A municipal spokesperson emphasized the importance of Córdoba “shining” as a “showcase to the world” during this period.
Regarding human resources, Sadeco will incorporate 15 new workers starting from May 13, who will join 30 previously contracted operators and a temporary reinforcement of 28 employees. This brings the total to over 70 additional people dedicated to extraordinary cleaning needs.
The operation will adapt to each major event. For the Wine Tasting Fair, held on Alcázar Avenue, specific containers for packaging, organic waste, and wine will be installed, along with double-ring bins and reinforced selective collection. During the Cruces de Mayo, 22 operators will work in continuous shifts, intensifying manual sweeping and bin collection, and 40 portable toilets will be placed in high-traffic areas.
The Patios Festival will feature 100 bins and 11 portable toilets, two of which are adapted, with reinforced daily cleaning in the most visited areas. The largest deployment will occur during the Feria de Nuestra Señora de la Salud, where Sadeco will have 65 daily operators in continuous shifts, permanent teams within the fairgrounds, and 20 support workers for green areas. Approximately 140 bins, 850 ring bins, 100 organic waste containers, 200 packaging containers, and 290 glass containers will be installed, along with 45 portable toilets, six of them adapted, and about 30 units of machinery and vehicles.

As a novelty, Sadeco will implement an inspection service with an educational approach, under the motto “Celebrate, recycle, and care for your city,” to promote civic behavior and proper waste management among citizens and associations.
