These matches will take place in two locations within Córdoba. The first game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21, at 7:30 PM at the Virgen de Luna stadium in Pozoblanco. The second encounter will be held on Thursday, April 23, at 11:00 AM at the El Arcángel stadium in the provincial capital.
Salvador Fuentes, president of the Córdoba Provincial Council, highlighted the significance of these events, stating that during these days, Córdoba will be a hub not only for sports but also for values, culture, and the projection of the province through sports. He emphasized that this event projects the image of Córdoba and its province globally, solidifying its reputation for hospitality.
“"Betting on sports, I believe, is betting on our youth and ultimately opening a path for development, a source of values."
The selection of the venues also holds significant historical and tourist appeal. Eduardo Lucena, territorial delegate for Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Junta de Andalucía, underscored the region's role as a tourist destination that extends beyond traditional perceptions, highlighting the growing interest in sports within the community. The match in the Valle de los Pedroches is part of the celebrations for the centenary of CD Pozoblanco, a fact acknowledged by its president, Sergio Galán.
The mayor of Pozoblanco, Santiago Cabello, expressed his joy at hosting this match in such a symbolic year for the club, making the Virgen de Luna stadium available in optimal conditions. Meanwhile, Pedro Curtido, president of the Royal Andalusian Football Federation (RFAF), celebrated the national team's arrival as the culmination of the centenary and a demonstration of commitment to grassroots football. Curtido, who played for Pozoblanco in the 1995-96 season, congratulated the club for their daily work and noted that it is the first time a men's national team has played at the Pozoblanco stadium.
The Córdoba City Council and Córdoba CF have also actively collaborated. Isabel Albás, president of IMDECO, explained that efforts have been made through the Education and Youth delegations to facilitate attendance for children. Javi Flores, institutional representative of Córdoba CF, reminded that the stadium always opens its doors and hopes that all residents of Córdoba and Córdoba CF fans will enjoy this match.
