The Córdoba airport is approaching its historic annual passenger record, with only six months into 2026. According to Aena data, the Cordoban terminal has received 26,726 passengers in the first half of the year. If the trend continues, it is expected that July will surpass the passenger ceiling set in 2025 with 30,797 travelers for the entire year.
This figure represents a significant increase compared to the same period in 2025, tripling the number of passengers. The more than 26,000 passengers in the first half of 2026 are three times more than the 8,021 registered from January to June 2025, marking a 233 percent increase.
The month of June was particularly positive, with 4,500 passengers, more than double the previous year (2,037 travelers), representing a 121 percent increase. This growth has added 2,500 additional passengers to the terminal.
Córdoba Airport has climbed positions in the national ranking of least-used airports, surpassing others such as those in Logroño, Algeciras, Salamanca, Sabadell, Albacete, Burgos, Huesca-Pirineos, and Madrid-Cuatro Vientos.
Regarding operations, 1,287 were carried out in June, a 37 percent increase compared to the same month in 2025. The first half of 2026 has seen a cumulative 6,730 operations, although this still represents a slight decrease of 6.8 percent compared to the first six months of 2025.
Currently, Córdoba Airport has two regular routes: one to Barcelona, operated by Vueling, and another to Gran Canaria, operated by Binter. Both routes have two weekly frequencies.
Vueling solidifies its position as the leading airline, transporting 15,416 passengers in the first half of 2026, accounting for almost 60 percent of the total. Binter, on the other hand, transported 9,183 passengers (34 percent) and has launched a promotion for travel to Gran Canaria for 75 euros.
