The event, centered on the Paseo de las Flores, featured a pool with luminous balls where participants, after purchases exceeding 20 euros in affiliated stores, could fish for prizes such as tablets, smartwatches, discounts, and local products.
Initially involving 23 businesses, the campaign expanded to include hospitality and leisure establishments, as explained by promoter Nacho Rivera. The goal was to encourage local shopping and create a space for fun and community.
Deputy Mayor and Councilor for Commerce, Isabel María Martínez Ceada, described the campaign's objective as “totally satisfied,” highlighting the positive response from both merchants and citizens, and the successful inclusion of the hospitality sector.
Martínez Ceada emphasized that such campaigns invigorate the streets and generate economic activity, encouraging more businesses to participate in future municipal initiatives.
The campaign, closing the summer's commercial events after the Noche de Luz, was attended by councilors Ana Vieira and Álex Boa, alongside Nacho Rivera.
The day included music, entertainment, and activities, transforming the town center into a meeting point. The City Council thanked all collaborators, reaffirming that supporting local commerce means supporting the future of Isla Cristina.
