After the conclusion of promotions and relegations, the silver league presents a renewed landscape with 21 teams. Córdoba CF will face familiar opponents and new contenders in what promises to be a demanding category.
Among the teams that retained their status are Eibar, Burgos, Sporting de Gijón, Ceuta, Albacete, Andorra, Granada, Real Sociedad B, Real Valladolid, Cádiz, and Leganés. They are joined by Castellón and Las Palmas, who will continue in the Second Division after falling in the promotion play-off semifinals.
Málaga has achieved promotion to the top tier, meaning Andalusia will have a new representative in the First Division. Meanwhile, Almería, who lost the final, will also be part of Córdoba CF's schedule.
The league is strengthened by the newly relegated teams from the First Division: Girona, Mallorca, and Real Oviedo. These clubs, with significant economic potential and compensatory aid, are considered favorites to compete for an immediate return to the First Division.
Additionally, Tenerife and Eldense return to the Second Division after their direct promotion from Primera Federación. Eldense has highlighted the return of Córdoba-born forward Manu Nieto.
Sabadell completes the list of promoted teams from Primera Federación, having defeated Real Madrid Castilla and Zamora in the playoffs. The Catalan team returns to professional football after a five-year absence.
Finally, Celta Fortuna secured its place in the second tier by overcoming Ponferradina, thus completing the roster of Córdoba CF's rivals for the upcoming season.
