The Córdoba City Council has approved delegating powers to expedite the processing of grant applications aimed at supporting open-air film projection programs scheduled for the summer of 2026. This initiative seeks to reinforce a deeply rooted cultural tradition in the city, dating back over a century.
The call for applications, with a budget of 100,000 euros, will be distributed through a competitive process among projects that achieve the highest technical scores. The maximum amount per project will be 30,000 euros. Eligible applicants include foundations, associations, other non-profit entities, private companies, and self-employed individuals whose activities are related to organizing film screenings.
Projects must take place between June 15 and October 15, 2026, within the municipal limits of Córdoba and in outdoor spaces with a capacity of at least one hundred people. Emphasis will be placed on the breadth and variety of the programming, with bonus points awarded for proposals including at least fifteen different titles. Additional points will also be given for free entry events, those held in the historic center, and projects promoted by companies registered with the ICAA.
Covered expenses include film exhibition rights, venue and equipment rental, technical and artistic personnel fees, public liability insurance, promotion and advertising, and Social Security costs. Subsidies will be disbursed after expenses are justified, with a deadline of November 20, 2026. Applications must be submitted electronically within fifteen business days of their publication in the Official Provincial Gazette.
