The campaign, which coincides with Pentecost Sunday, seeks to raise awareness about the importance of connection, mutual care, and the dignity of all people, especially those in vulnerable situations. It emphasizes the transformative power of community and encourages citizens, parishes, volunteers, and families to actively participate in building a more just and supportive society.
Under the slogan 'Choose to love. Choose community', it is reminded that small daily gestures can generate hope. Cáritas Diocesana de Córdoba reaffirms its daily commitment to welcoming, listening, and accompanying the most disadvantaged individuals.
On the occasion of the Corpus Christi celebration, various events open to the Cordoban society have been organized. These include a Prayer Vigil on Wednesday, June 3rd, a Sending Eucharist for volunteers on Thursday, June 4th, and the Corpus Christi celebration in the Cathedral with a procession. These events are part of Pope Leo XIV's visit to Spain, under the theme 'Lift up your eyes', which Cáritas uses to highlight the importance of community and social action.
During the campaign week, the main data from the entity's 2025 Report will be presented, detailing the social impact of its work thanks to the support of volunteers, members, and donors.
Faced with discard, loneliness, and indifference, Cáritas Diocesana de Córdoba proposes dignity, community, and committed love, under the slogan 'Choose to love. Choose community'.
