The Social Delivery Program (PES), promoted by Solemccor, seeks to transform the way basic resources like clothing are distributed, fostering a more dignified, efficient, and transparent model. This initiative is part of Cáritas Española's 'Moda re-' project, which aims to modernize social aid.
The system operates through Solemccor's 'Moda re-' store, located on Historiador Díaz del Moral street in the center of Córdoba. Aid is channeled through redeemable cards, issued by Cáritas Diocesana de Córdoba, which beneficiaries can use to make purchases. New sales points are expected to open in the future.
The PES cards, available in physical or digital format with a QR code, allow for multiple purchases and include the possibility of co-payment, promoting a normalized and respectful shopping experience. The program is open to the participation of other social entities, such as city councils and foundations, that wish to channel their aid funds effectively.
“"This program represents a step forward in understanding social aid, as it combines efficiency, control, and proximity to people. It allows us to optimize resources, ensure the traceability of aid, and work in a network with other entities committed to inclusion."
A spokesperson for Cáritas Diocesana de Córdoba highlighted the human and social value of the initiative, emphasizing that it not only covers a basic need but does so with respect and dignity, allowing people to choose and regain some autonomy. This approach seeks a charity that not only helps but transforms.
The PES is based on pillars such as the dignification of aid, improved budget management, openness to new funding entities, and the traceability of aid. With this implementation, Solemccor and Cáritas Diocesana de Córdoba reinforce their commitment to social innovation and comprehensive care for those most in need.
