The heatwave will affect most of the region, with the exception of the provinces of Almeria and Malaga. In areas such as the countryside of Cordoba and Seville, as well as regions in Huelva and Jaen, orange-level warnings have been established as temperatures are expected to exceed 40 degrees during the central hours of the day.
The meteorological situation, caused by a ridge and a low-pressure system west of the Iberian Peninsula, is driving a mass of very hot and dry air. This phenomenon will not only raise daytime highs but also lead to very warm nights in the southwestern quadrant, making it difficult to cool down.
In addition to the thermal risk, authorities are warning of a significant increase in wildfire danger due to accumulated water deficits and wind gusts. In the province of Cadiz, yellow warnings remain active for coastal phenomena and easterly winds that could reach 80 kilometers per hour.
