This festival, organized by the Association of Neighbors and Friends of Los Pánchez- El Toril, primarily aims to boost the tourism and economic promotion of Fuente Obejuna and its villages, as well as to preserve and transmit traditions linked to artisanal bread making.
Félix Romero, delegate for Economic Development, Promotion, and Employment of the provincial institution, explained that the event will focus on the traditional bread-making process in the village's ovens. This activity will be complemented by tastings, an exhibition and sale of agri-food and artisanal products, demonstrations of traditional crafts, musical performances, children's activities, and various cultural and leisure proposals.
Romero, who also chairs Iprodeco, added that the Fiesta del Pan is a significant resource for Fuente Obejuna and the Valle del Guadiato, due to its direct impact in leveraging the territory's endogenous resources—gastronomy, crafts, natural heritage, traditional architecture, and customs—to generate development opportunities and foster local economic activity.
For two days, attendees will be able to learn traditional bread-making techniques and participate in workshops and tastings. The festival will feature four available ovens for artisanal bread production and various spaces and infrastructures for the planned activities.
