The delegate for Equality, Development Cooperation, Consumption, and Citizen Participation of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Auxiliadora Moreno, presented the second edition of the initiative 'Huellas solidarias: sowing commitment in Córdoba', which is part of the institution's Active Citizenship School.
This immersive youth volunteering event will take place from October 30 to November 1. It is supported by Imprevisible Films and the town councils of Doña Mencía, Santaella, and Villanueva del Rey.
The program is designed for a diverse group of 25 young people aged between 18 and 35, selected through a public call. Participants, with or without prior volunteering experience, share an interest in social participation, collective work, and environmental protection.
For three days, participants will live together at the Provincial Hostel of Cerro Muriano, which will serve as a base camp for carrying out activities in the designated municipalities.
Dany Ruz, director of 'Huellas Solidarias', explained that the program will include actions such as reforestation, cleaning and waste collection, and recovery of natural spaces, addressing the needs presented by the participating towns.
Registration can be done through huellassolidarias.com. Participation in this initiative is completely free, aiming to encourage young people to engage in exploring the rural environment of Córdoba.
