The municipality of Vícar is preparing to host the Seniors' Afternoon once again at the Teatro Auditorio Ciudad de Vícar. This annual event aims to foster coexistence among users of the Home Help Service and the Day Care Unit of Las Cabañuelas, as well as the town's elderly residents. The day will serve as a meeting point for users, families, caregivers, and municipal officials, in addition to the staff from Clece Sociales, the company managing the service.
This initiative underscores the commitment of Vícar's municipal government to maintain and improve care for the elderly, with a particular focus on dependent individuals. Mayor Antonio Bonilla has emphasized the importance of this group, referring to them as a "heroic generation" and praising the "great professionalism and immense human quality" of the staff responsible for the service.
The event, jointly organized by the Ayuntamiento de Vícar and Clece Sociales, will commence next Wednesday at 4:20 PM. Following welcoming remarks by Mayor Antonio Bonilla, a recognition ceremony will be held for six seniors and one caregiver. The event will conclude with a musical performance featuring copla music, presented by the singer from Cádiz, María de los Ángeles Marín, who gained fame as a contestant on the popular Canal Sur television program "Se llama copla".
