The President of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, traveled to the area of the fire declared in Cerro Muriano to gain firsthand knowledge of the extinction operation's progress and monitor the situation with emergency services.
Fuentes also went to the provincial hostel in Cerro Muriano, where a Leisure and Free Time program is taking place. From there, he conveyed a message of calm, assuring that “there is no risk to the children” and that “everything is prepared in case an orderly and planned action is needed.”
The Provincial Council of Córdoba maintains the resources of the Provincial Consortium for Fire Prevention and Extinction fully activated. Currently, six personnel and two tanker vehicles are working on the ground to support the device's efforts.
The President of the Provincial Council stated that the “priority objective is to collaborate with the operation to control the fire as soon as possible and guarantee the safety of people in permanent coordination with the rest of the administrations and emergency services.” He highlighted the work of Infoca, the Emergency Agency of the Junta de Andalucía, and the Córdoba City Council.
