These initiatives, part of the 2024-2027 Villages Plan, aim to notably enhance infrastructure and the quality of life for residents. The delegate for Infrastructure, Sustainability, and Agriculture, Andrés Lorite, visited both locations to oversee the works.
In La Cardenchosa, comprehensive urbanization of the land adjacent to the Multi-purpose Center has been carried out, creating a space costing 105,314 euros with a dual function: lateral access to the building and a recreational area. The intervention included perimeter fencing, earth retention, rainwater drainage, and public lighting.
Meanwhile, in the village of Argallón, 153,575 euros were allocated to the construction of a sidewalk-promenade at the access via the CO-8402, extending a previous phase by the City Council. This project establishes a safe and accessible pedestrian ring, enhanced with new lighting and protective railings.
The work in Argallón is divided into two sections, featuring block masonry walls and concrete curbs, ensuring garage access and the installation of an underground 400 mm collector.
Lorite also reviewed the improvements made to the children's playground in Argallón, an 11,500 euro project under the same plan. This included replacing safety surfacing, renewing aged fencing, refurbishing existing play equipment, and installing a new information panel detailing usage rules.
