The president of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Salvador Fuentes, traveled to Santaella, accompanied by its mayor, María Dolores Doblas, to visit the works carried out at the CEIP Genil in La Montiela. This action will allow for the improvement of essential facilities for this population center, creating a differentiated recreational space for early childhood students.
According to Fuentes, the work addresses a specific need raised by the City Council and has been entirely financed by the Provincial Council. The main objective is to equip the infrastructure with a space that meets the necessary conditions of safety, accessibility, and usability for the youngest children.
The provincial official emphasized that this is an urgent intervention, motivated by safety reasons, to adapt the recreational area to the needs of very young children. He also noted that resources allocated to schools are always limited, but that new needs at the center will be addressed, such as the installation of safety barriers in certain patio areas, with completion expected by the end of September.
Fuentes also referred to the ‘Diputación Invierte’ (Provincial Council Invests) program, which allocates a total of 223,295 euros to Santaella, an amount that will contribute to improving services for the municipality's residents.
In other matters, the Provincial Council is joining the centenary celebration events of the Hermandad de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, Santo Entierro y Virgen de la Esperanza (Brotherhood of Our Father Jesus the Nazarene, Holy Burial, and Virgin of Hope), supporting a program of cultural, social, and community activities to highlight its history and heritage.
The mayor of Santaella, María Dolores Doblas, thanked the president of the Provincial Council for his direct involvement in transforming the courtyard of CEIP Genil into a safe space for young children.
