Tatiana Pozo, head of Energy and president of the Energy Agency, announced the budget increase after receiving 214 applications, highlighting the high demand in the province. She stated, "We have designed a more accessible, clearer, and better-oriented call for applications."
To meet this demand, a credit modification of an additional €300,000 is being processed. "This expansion is a declaration of intent and confirmation that the Provincial Council truly believes in energy transition as a useful, accessible, and transformative public policy," Pozo emphasized.
The budget increase specifically enhances support for companies and cooperatives, recognizing their strategic role in energy transition. Funding for these initiatives will double from €300,000 to €700,000 in 2026, as "betting on companies means betting on employment, innovation, and a more solid economic model," the provincial delegate noted.
Regarding aid for pensioner homes, active participation centers, and senior residential centers, Tatiana Pozo indicated that final resolutions will be made in September, confirming that "all projects submitted in these lines that meet the criteria will be subsidized."
Once the expanded credits are available, aid for general installations of local entities and for companies and cooperatives will be resolved. It is expected to subsidize up to 48 projects for local entity buildings and installations, 17 for pensioner homes, 32 for cooperatives or companies, and 30 for senior residential centers, representing a 14% increase in subsidized projects.
Pozo stressed that "energy transition must be a real opportunity for the towns of Córdoba, for their municipalities, their businesses, and citizens in general." Submitted projects include photovoltaic self-consumption, efficient lighting, and building envelope improvements, among others.
