The Delegate for Culture of the Provincial Council of Córdoba, Gabriel Duque, presented the call for applications, which aims to strengthen the activity of these groups and improve their material resources. The subsidy line is endowed with €550,000.
In this edition, 118 entities, including town councils, musical associations, brotherhoods, and confraternities, have been beneficiaries. Most of the grants awarded reach the maximum amount of €5,000, while the rest are distributed proportionally based on the valuation obtained and the budget presented by each applicant.
The purpose of this call, processed under a competitive bidding regime, is to facilitate the acquisition and repair of musical instruments, the purchase and repair of uniforms, and the acquisition of musical material. This supports the continuity of a cultural activity that is a benchmark of the musical heritage of Córdoba's municipalities.
Duque emphasized the Council's commitment to these entities, considering them essential for the cultural life of the municipalities. The aid contributes to the renewal of instruments, the improvement of attire, and the strengthening of organizations that perform a fundamental role in musical training, heritage conservation, and cultural dynamism of the province.
The importance of these entities for residents' access to music and their significant contribution to the province's Holy Week celebrations is acknowledged.
