The incident occurred around 11:20 AM when a woman alerted officers from the Citizen Attention Group (GAC) of the National Police about an elderly man who had collapsed in the street after getting out of his vehicle. The individual had a severe facial injury and was unconscious.
Upon arrival, police confirmed the man was in cardiorespiratory arrest, indicating a possible heart attack. They immediately began cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) while contacting 061 for urgent medical assistance and the Local Police of Camas to manage traffic, as the man was lying in the middle of the road.
After approximately ten minutes of resuscitation by the national officers, the Local Police of Camas arrived and continued the efforts using a defibrillator. Fifteen minutes after the initial resuscitation, medical services from Camas and an ambulance from 061 arrived to assist the patient.
Once stabilized, the man was transferred to Hospital Virgen del Rocío. Subsequently, National Police officers returned the affected person's belongings, including money, his bank passbook, and car keys, to a family member.
