The Chamber of Commerce of Seville and the Federation of Metal Entrepreneurs (FEDEME) have urged Airbus and trade union representatives to intensify their efforts to reach an agreement that will end the current labor conflict.

Both organizations consider it a priority to achieve acceptable and reasonable agreements to resolve the situation as soon as possible. The auxiliary aerospace industry is defined as a strategic sector in Andalusia, whose strength lies in the cooperation between workers and companies. The regional aeronautical ecosystem comprises over 150 companies, with a combined annual turnover exceeding 3.228 billion euros and generating more than 16,391 direct jobs. This growth has consolidated the sector as a key industrial driver, representing about 14% of industrial GDP and approximately 1.4% of regional economic activity.
The president of the Chamber of Commerce, Francisco Herrero, stated that "there is no time to lose in providing a definitive solution to a conflict that has been prolonged over time and whose economic consequences will worsen the situation faced by companies in the auxiliary aeronautical industry. The longer the strike lasts, the greater the damages will be."
For his part, the president of FEDEME, Francisco Javier Moreno, highlighted the "essential" need for both parties to "redouble their efforts to reach a mutual understanding that allows overcoming the current situation." He emphasized that Airbus is a "strategic asset for Andalusia and Seville" and that its stability is fundamental for the company itself, the auxiliary industry, and the thousands of professionals who depend on its activity directly or indirectly. He also insisted that any solution must be based on "dialogue, shared responsibility, and the search for lasting consensus."
The experience of the Siderometalúrgica collective agreement of Seville was recalled, demonstrating that understanding between business organizations and trade unions is possible. This agreement, to which approximately 90% of Seville's aeronautical industry is linked, has accumulated 18 years of stability and social peace without any strike calls, thanks to a negotiation culture based on respect, responsibility, and the constant search for consensus.
