The blaze, which started at 2:29 PM in a marshland area near the Odiel River, was located in a zone with dense vegetation, partly dry. The favorable evolution of the fire allowed it to be declared stabilized at 6:15 PM.
A 'stabilized' fire means that, while not yet controlled, it is evolving positively with no active fronts allowing it to spread freely.
Extinguishing efforts involved Infoca Plan personnel working both on the ground and from the air. Initially, the deployment included two forest firefighter groups, an operations technician, two water-tanker vehicles, a medium-heavy helicopter, and a ground-loading aircraft. This was later reinforced with an additional technician and a heavy helicopter.
Following the fire's stabilization, two water-tanker vehicles, two forest firefighter groups, an operations technician, and a medium-heavy helicopter remain on site to secure the perimeter.
