Camille Gabet has completed her studies at the University of Almería (UAL), earning a dual Master's degree in Industrial and Agri-food Biotechnology, in collaboration with SupBiotech Paris. Her trajectory represents one of the first outcomes of the shared degree program within the European UNIgreen alliance, led by UAL, which allows students to complete their education at two European universities and obtain a dual degree.
The French student undertook a semester of her Master's at the UAL and subsequently completed a six-month internship in Barcelona. During her stay in Almería, Gabet took courses in English, highlighting her experience in the UAL laboratories and her participation in a biotechnology sector meeting held in Córdoba in October 2024. She positively valued the opportunity to experience a new culture, the climate, and the province's landscapes, as well as improving her English and Spanish levels.
Gabet's experience underscores the value of international mobility and joint programs for broadening academic training, developing linguistic skills, and facilitating access to new professional opportunities. She also emphasized the international friendships formed with peers from France, Italy, Bolivia, and other countries.
The UNIgreen alliance, of which UAL is a part, promotes collaboration between European universities in areas such as sustainable agriculture and green biotechnology. The dual Master's program is an initiative that materializes this collaboration, offering education in Spain and France.
