The events unfolded on the afternoon of April 7 at a store in Alomartes, a town within Íllora. The individual, after entering the premises, assaulted a minor customer, stole their belongings, and threatened both the minor and their accompanying family member.
The escalation of violence continued as the alleged assailant shattered the display window and the glass of the entrance door, causing injuries to two other customers who were hit by the fragments. Subsequently, he assaulted the store owner before heading outside.
Once outside, the man used a cane to smash all the windows of his own vehicle, which was parked in front of the store. Additionally, he broke a decorative planter and damaged a religious image located near the same business.
Upon receiving the alert via the Central Operational Services (COS), a patrol from the Citizen Security Unit of the Granada Command (USECIC) immediately responded to the scene. Officers confirmed the damage to the store and the vehicle, as well as the injuries sustained by the victims, who subsequently filed formal complaints.
After conducting the necessary investigations to clarify the events, the Civil Guard located the alleged perpetrator at his home. The 32-year-old detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Civil and Instruction Section of the Loja Guard Court of Instance for violent robbery and intimidation, assault on a minor, threats, three counts of assault on other individuals, and three counts of damages.
