The Puebla de Don Fadrique City Council has unveiled the 2026 Summer Cultural program, set to run throughout August. The aim is to provide a comprehensive agenda of leisure, sports, culture, and tradition, establishing it as a significant event in the municipality's summer calendar.
The program features established activities such as the theatrical performance by the Municipal Theater Group, the painting exhibition by artist Adela Castillo, and the 10th Folklore Festival. These events are complemented by new proposals with an educational and scientific focus.
Among the new additions are the observation of the solar eclipse on August 12th, with expert explanations, and a night sky observation session, taking advantage of Puebla de Don Fadrique's skies, considered among the cleanest in Europe.
The Councilor for Culture, Raquel Guijarro, highlighted the program's diversity, designed for all audiences, blending traditions with new activities. The Mayor, Jesús Fernández, emphasized the City Council's commitment to culture, sports, and local heritage, as well as valuing the natural environment.
In addition to these main events, the program includes sports competitions, workshops, summer cinema, musical performances, and family leisure activities, many organized in collaboration with local associations and groups.
The Summer Cultural initiative aims to strengthen intergenerational bonds and highlight the municipality's cultural and heritage richness, making Puebla de Don Fadrique an attractive destination.
