The mayor of Baza, Pedro J. Ramos, accompanied by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Mª Carmen López, has visited the rehabilitation works of the municipal water deposit, located at Cuesta del Francés. The building presented significant structural needs, particularly in its roof.
The main intervention involves the complete renovation of the facility's roof, for which special structures have been transported. These works aim to guarantee the building's stability and minimize the impact on the stored water.
The remodeling also includes the cleaning and waterproofing of the tanks that hold the water, with the goal of slowing down their deterioration. This project, partly funded by aid from the Provincial Plans for Works and Services of the Diputación, is considered essential and more than urgent.
“"When the deposit is finished and operational again, the city's water supply network will gain in quality and functionality, we will avoid breakdowns and therefore unnecessary cuts. It is a work that, although not noticeable and perhaps not as recognizable to many residents, was essential and more than urgent for everyone."
According to the Councilor for Urban Planning, once the work is completed, the city's water supply network will see an improvement in quality and functionality, reducing breakdowns and unnecessary cuts.
